Novelty Show Twirl Team (Studio)

(3:00 minutes max)

Minimum Team Members:4

Tiny Twirlers(0-6), Juvenile (7-9), Tween (10-12), Junior (13-15), Senior (16-18) Collegiate/Adult (19+)

​

One or More Batons, Props Allowed, Choreography/Costuming should be a reflection of the music. Group/Partner work should all be incorporated to create a dynamic effect.  Music needs to be age-appropriate.  

​

Dance Twirl Team (Studio)

​

(3:00 minutes max)

Minimum Team Members:4

Tiny Twirlers(0-6), Juvenile (7-9), Tween (10-12), Junior (13-15), Senior (16-18) Collegiate/Adult (19+)

​

One baton per twirler upon entry, but batons may be passed to other members during the routine incorporating group/partner work/floor coverage/patterns. No props allowed. Choreography/Costuming should be a reflection of the music.  Music needs to be age-appropriate.

Show Twirl Team (Studio)

​

(3:00 minutes max)

Minimum Team Members:4

Tiny Twirlers(0-6), Juvenile (7-9), Tween (10-12), Junior (13-15), Senior (16-18) Collegiate/Adult (19+)

One or more batons, no props, costuming/choreography should be a reflection of the music and should create a theme.  Floor coverage, partner work, exchanges, and variety should be incorporated throughout the routine. Music needs to be age-appropriate. 

​

Show/Theme Corps

​

(10 minutes max)

Minimum Team Members: 10

Juvenile (0-11.99), Junior (12-14.99), Senior (15-18+)

​

One or more batons, props, and backdrops.  The choreography of baton and dance movements should create a theme.  Costuming should reflect the overall theme and keep the audience entertained throughout. Music needs to be age-appropriate.  

​

Duet/Trio Novelty Show Twirl (Studio)

​

(3:00 minutes max)

Team Members 2 Minimum, 3 Max

Tiny Twirlers(0-6), Juvenile (7-9), Tween (10-12), Junior (13-15), Senior (16-18) Collegiate/Adult (19+)

​

One or More Batons, Props Allowed, Choreography/Costuming should be a reflection of the music. Group/Partner work should all be incorporated to create a dynamic effect.  Music needs to be age-appropriate.

 

X-Small Dance Twirl Team (Studio)

(3:00 minutes max)

Minimum Team Members:2, Max 4

Tiny Twirlers(0-6), Juvenile (7-9), Tween (10-12), Junior (13-15), Senior (16-18) Collegiate/Adult (19+)

One baton per twirler upon entry, but batons may be passed to other members during the routine incorporating group/partner work/floor coverage/patterns. No props allowed. Choreography/Costuming should be a reflection of the music.  Music needs to be age-appropriate.

Dance Team Studio or School

​

(3:00 minutes max)

Teams will be divided based on size and age.

All skill levels will be combined. 

Tap Dancing or any type of dance with a shoe that could potentially damage floors will not be allowed. 

Props are allowed.

Choreography/Costuming should be a reflection of the music.  Music needs to be age appropriate.

*Contest Director reserves the right to combine teams in the event only 1 group is registered in a category to increase competition

**To compete in a school event ALL team members must attend the same school and be current members of the squad.

Entries/Payments postmarked after the cutoff date of (TBD) will be returned.  No late entries will be accepted.  

If you would like to pay via cc please send an email to takethestage@comcast.net requesting to pay by card.  An invoice will be sent to the email on file. CC payments will need to be received within 24 hours of registration/receipt of the invoice.
